Edward R. Burns, Vice President

Prior to joining Emigrant Capital, Mr. Burns was a Vice President with CIT Equity Investments where he focused on buyouts and growth financings of middle market businesses. While at CIT Equity Investments, Mr. Burns invested in companies in a diversified set of industries, including consumer products, business services, printing, packaging, automotive and specialty manufacturing.

Prior to joining CIT, Mr. Burns worked in the Mergers and Acquisitions group at J.P. Morgan & Co. where he advised consumer and retail companies. Previously, Mr. Burns spent five years at CIT's Business Credit Unit where he executed financings of middle market leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations and turnarounds.

Mr. Burns received a BS in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Columbia Business School. He is a director of AC Label LLC and Forward Foods LLC, and has served as a director of International Filing Company, Springfield Precision Instruments, Inc., and Minco, Inc.
