Edward
Milstein
Edward L. Milstein continues
his family's three-generation tradition as part
of a major presence in New York City's business
life. Since 1985 he has been President of Timko
Contracting Corporation, which built more than
5,000 apartment units in New York during the
1980's.
Mr. Milstein is also President of Milford
Management, where, with his brother, Howard,
he has day-to-day responsibility for operations
of the family's residential real-estate portfolio.
He is also a principal in Milstein Properties,
the family's development arm. As a partner in
Milstein Ventures since 1975, he has been involved
with investments ranging from oil, gas and coal,
to the Emigrant Savings Bank.
While Mr. Milstein's
first love is real estate and finance, he also
has a deep commitment to improving the quality
of life in New York City. An active philanthropist,
Mr. Milstein serves on the Board of the New York
City Police and Firemen's Widows & Children
Benefit Fund, the National Crime Prevention Council,
and the New York City Citizens Crime Commission.
He previously served on the Real Estate Board
of New York.
Mr. Milstein is married to Robin
Milstein, a graphic designer, and has four young
children.
